When I first saw Andi’s work, I immediately became obsessed. Her work brings to life beloved characters from different fandoms; sometimes with a fun twist. There’s Captain America, Darth Vader, and even The Doctor. One piece even has the Avengers with the T.A.R.D.I.S. behind them! One of my favorite creative collection of works she has done are the Disney Princesses as Pin Ups. Her take on Pin Up Cinderella is stunning.
Andi has always been drawing; she loves seeing a character and reimagining them in different creative ways. She loves sharing her imagination with others. You can see the time, effort, and thought put into each piece. It wasn’t until her mom Sally and friend Alex gave her the push she needed, that she began showing her art at Millennium Fandom Bar. I bought my first two pieces there- the Death Star and Hogwarts.
What I love most about Andi’s work is that it is done digitally but looks like an oil painting. The detail that goes into it is incredible. She captures a character’s soul in each piece. One of my favorites is a Batman and Joker piece. When I look at it, I can almost hear the Joker laughing because it is so realistic. I love how much emotion each piece can pull from a viewer, which in itself is the essence of art – to evoke thought and emotion.
